Track Name: What Does Your Heart Say?
What does your heart say?
Is it pulling you away?
Is it scared about the future?
Is it trying not to break?

I can be delicate
Like an origami crane
Listening to your rhythms
What does your heart say?

Does it write you long letters?
Does It tell you how it feels?
Is it up and down in circles
Like some lonely Ferris wheel?

I can be patient
So you can take your time
Go diving through your memories
What does your heart say?
Mine says "All i want is you".

I could be an island
Or the ocean that surrounds
Always ever changing
But for your i'm solid ground
And you can fight it with your reasons
Or you can call a spade a spade
Forget your interjections
What does your heart say?
Track Name: Strung Along
The eyes of an actress and dripping in subtext
Always a hard one to read
Kiss me hello then tell me 'bout your boyfriend that you had when you were 19
And i don't mind at all

"You're younger than me but you still make me nervous"
I said with my hands in my jeans
"I like your hands and your voice when you're singing"
You said as you packed up to leave
And I don't mind at all

I want to know what you've been hiding
Oh I wish you would string me along
Time is the difference between falling and flying
I wish you would string me along

Smelling like red wine and cigarette smoke
And you're looking like Bridgette Bardot
Empty my pockets my cards on the table
I thought that you might want to know
And i don't mind at all.
Track Name: Tunnel Vision
Tunnel vision is a killer
Getting closer by the day
I went walking over mountains
Tried to breath it all away
Saw the jet stream arching over
Saw a flower after rain
And I ain't never looking backwards again

The road behind me has helped me journey
Across the weirdest wildest place
And i've been lonesome and i've had company
As i traveled on my way
I met a girl who gave me something that will never be replaced
And i ain't never looking backwards again

I can see so clearly
I can see so far

In the distance I see storm clouds
Doing battle in the sky
But i'll keep walking ever onwards
Like a one track troubled mind
Ever cyclone has its center
And ever hurricane must end
So I ain't never looking backwards again...
Track Name: Wherever It Is
Sleep steady on your feet
Forget about the things that chase you
Scared and Stumbling

All that you can ever be
A child of your situation
Probably

Breeze and tension in you sails
Wherever it is you run to
Roses guard your window
Wherever it is you run to

I know I'm not the one
Who gets to call you love
And sleep next to you when it rains

Still you're the company i keep
When I get time for me
I want to give it straight to you

The planets align
And the stars shout your sign
And you're standing on a rock in the middle of the sky
When their is nothing left
But the sun in your eye
Laugh at the ludicrous chance you had of being alive
Track Name: Reasons To Be Afraid
Well everyone keeps talking through their poison pointed teeth
Like I’m a child that won’t stop swearing or the bringer of disease
I ain’t got nothing that you’ll get, because you’re all immune to me
I sit here wishing I had company
And the ocean at my feet is swaying like a drunken lawyer
Who is talking to his friends about how everybody loves him
If I try to change the topic the topographic tilt will mean
I’m swimming in my clothes again

Reasons to be afraid:
Help is on its way
Your friends all know your name
You’ll have to let them in someday

So I stumble ‘round here smiling like I’m hiding something strange
Hidden underneath my armour in the cortex of my brain
And my brain’s the very thing that made me climb aboard this train
So I can’t trust it anymore
And my only ray of sunshine lives one thousand miles away
And I’ll probably never get to see her pretty face again
Because I thought that I’d be selfless and I left her on a whim
And she don’t want me anymore

My family all keep telling me that they are there for me
But I guess I’d best keep moving so they don’t have time to see
That I’m the first-born paratrooper who got tangled in a tree
And all my comrades hit the ground
And you just can’t light a match with all the gas these people spew
About their yoga pants and pension plans, how they’re better than you
Well I’ve been a lot of places and I’ve paid a lot of dues
And my opinions are my own

So, if you’re looking for a reason not to get to sleep at night
Remember silence means you’re all alone and darkness leaves you blind
So keep playing with your mobile phone whilst Government satellites
Track every fucking move you make
They can watch me all the like ‘cause I’ve got nothing left to hide
Except this knot that’s in my stomach and a relentless voice inside
That tells me “run across the country till you reach the other side
And plunge yourself into the sea”
But this country isn’t ours and that is plain enough to see
It’s ruled by racist lobby groups and fat cat mining companies
And a brainless bunch of bat-shit-boring serpent tongued MP’s
Who think that they’re above the law
So I try to make it better by forgetting who I am
And by numbing it with alcohol and girls who like my band
But I fall in love to easy so I had to change my plans
And dig a moat to keep me safe
Well a few have rowed across it or come flying from above
They came bumping into me with boredom dressed up like its love
And then knocking some things over undid all the good I’ve done
But I still want them all the same
Its like I’m a picket for a grape vine or the legs upon her throne
Like I’m propping up the things that help her not feel so alone
Well I kept the coin she kissed and gave to me then sent me home
I hope it helps my luck to change.
